Living history interpreters will re-enact Powhatan Indian and English Colonist encounters, both pre- and post-English contact during the period 1607 – 1622. Encounter experiences will contrast Powhatan and English military, home life, agriculture and technology. Powhatan interpreters will demonstrate deer processing, open fire cooking and manufacturing. The People of Pocahontas program is a widely popular, annual event and is a great opportunity to meet and talk with Native American, living history re-enactors in a re-created Indian village.
