Living history interpreters will re-enact Powhatan Indian and English Colonist encounters, both pre- and post-English contact during the period 1607 1622. Encounter experiences will contrast Powhatan and English military, home life, agriculture and technology. Powhatan interpreters will demonstrate deer processing, open fire cooking and manufacturing. The People of Pocahontas program is a widely popular, annual event and is a great opportunity to meet and talk with Native American, living history re-enactors in a re-created Indian village.
